American comedy and vocal quartet active in the early 20th century. The group was founded by, and revolved around, comedians [a=Joe Smith (33)] and [a=Charlie Dale (2)]. While the original line-up is uncertain, by the early 1910s Irving Kaufman and [a=Harry Goodwin (4)] were members of the group. These two left the group some time in 1919 and were replaced by E. Rash and Charles Adams. The group's success waned in the 1920s but they continued to tour the vaudeville circuit and perform on radio albeit with changing supporting members. By 1930 Smith and Dale were no longer interested and disbanded the group.
