Alberto Radius

Alberto Radius was an Italian guitarist and singer, born in Rome 1 June, 1942. His career began in the late 1950s with the band White Booster. He then went on to play with [a=Mario Perrone]'s orchestra for two years before joining [a=I Campanino] in 1964. He replaced [a=Franco Mussida] in [a=Quelli] (soon after renamed as [a281856], aka PFM), where he developed his style of guitar playing. In 1969, he formed [a=Formula 3] together with [a=Tony Cicco] and [a=Gabriele Lorenzi]. The group debuted on [a=Lucio Battisti]'s new label [l=Numero Uno], performing Battisti's song [i]Questo Folle Sentimento[/i], which reached number 5 in the Italian charts in 1970. He died in San Colombano al Lambro (in Greater Milan) on February 16, 2023.
