Alberto Radius was an Italian guitarist and singer, born in Rome 1 June, 1942. His career began in the late 1950s with the band White Booster. He then went on to play with Mario Perrone's orchestra for two years before joining I Campanino in 1964. He replaced Franco Mussida in Quelli (soon after renamed as Premiata Forneria Marconi, aka PFM), where he developed his style of guitar playing.
In 1969, he formed Formula 3 together with Tony Cicco and Gabriele Lorenzi. The group debuted on Lucio Battisti's new label Numero Uno, performing Battisti's song Questo Folle Sentimento, which reached number 5 in the Italian charts in 1970. He died in San Colombano al Lambro (in Greater Milan) on February 16, 2023.
