Obscure Italian progressive rock group from 1973 who issued just the one album.
Festa Mobile (literally "Mobile Party" or "Touring Festival") were the roots of Il Baricentro, and were related to Jacopone. They premiered at the Avanguardia festival in 1973, and released their concept opus: Diario Di Viaggio Della Festa Mobile (diary of the journey of a touring fair) the same year. Apart from touches of Il Volo and PFM, and in the piano quite big nod to Banco, Festa Mobile's style was unique.
The LP never documented the line-up, but is now known as: Francesco Boccuzzi (keyboards), Giovanni Boccuzzi (keyboards, guitar), Tonio Napolitano (bass), Alessio Alba (guitar), Maurizio Cobianchi (drums).
After they split, the Boccuzzi's and Napolitano carried on as Baricentro, and Alessio Alba went on to reinvent himself as a sitar player!
