I Quelli were an Italian beat band. Born in 1964 as the 'Black Devils', and soon became the backing band of Gian Pieretti, changing the name in 'I Grifoni'. In 1970 Franco Mussida, Flavio Premoli and Franz Di Cioccio formed progressive rock band Premiata Forneria Marconi in Milan with violinist Mauro Pagani (ex-I Dalton) and bassist Luciano Dovesi who was soon replaced by Giorgio Piazza.
