Geslin studied piano at Saint-Etienne, and scoring, analysis and electroacoustic composition at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique de Paris.
In Groupe De Recherches Musicales, he has been active during the 1980s in the development of "Studio numérique experimental" .
His compositions include pedagogical works, works for solo tape, including two computer compositions ("Petite musique de notes", "Variations didactiques"), and works for synthesizers ("Volumétriques").
