Le Groupe de Recherches Musicales (GRM) is a pioneering French public centre in electro-acoustic research founded by Pierre Schaeffer in 1958. It succeeded the previous Groupe de Recherche de Musique Concrète (GRMC) created in 1951 which replaced the Studio d'Essai also founded by Pierre Schaeffer in 1944. Since 1975, GRM is part of INA and therefore often spelled INA-GRM. GRM has published electro-acoustic music records under the label INA.
