South African afro-soul/jazz diva and composer.
Born in Lusikisiki in the Eastern Cape, Siphokazi moved to Johannesburg in 1999 where she studied sound engineering and music production.
After polishing her talents as a backing and touring singer as well as featuring vocalist with the likes of Ringo Madlingozi, Pat Matshikiza, Bheki Khoza, Simphiwe Dana and Stimela, she went on to release her debut album "Ubuntu Bam" in 2006.
Nominated in five categories, the album garnered her a "Best Newcomer" award at the following year's SAMAs.
