History
In 1973 eight Aarhus bands joined forces and formed Musikernes Kontakt where the musicians booked jobs for themselves and the other affiliated bands. They set up an office in connection with the venue Trinbrædtet at Vestergade 58 and got off to a good start, i.a. because of an address book donated by the musician Ole Berg, who had run "Bergs Booking" which primarily booked jobs for Spillemændene. On 1 October 1973 Musikernes Kontakt took over Trinbrædtet which was renamed to "Musikernes Hus - Vestergade 58". In 1975 Musikernes Kontakt was detached from the Vestergade 58 venue and in 1976, after a series of challenges, transformed into Århus Musikkontor. The eight founding bands of Musikernes Kontakt were: Blue Sun, Folkstow, Jackie Boo Flight, Krogsbæk, Saratoga Band, Spillemændene, Tears and Viola.
