Danish folk group started in Aarhus in 1973 by three members of "Irish Stew" and four kindred spirits. Since then, the group made several changes and Djursland Spillemænd is, for example, an offshoot. In 1976 Folkstow consisted of five members who played professional folk-rock with 2-3 gigs a week. The only original member was Frans Novak Knudsen. The other members (in 1976) were: Ulla Berg Andersen, Bent Styver, Lubo Kristensen (see Lubo) and Flemming Madsen.
