Jean Cohen-Solal

Born 1946, jazz flautist. Brother of well-known avant-garde musician Robert Cohen-Solal. Their family came from Algiers and settled in Nimes, France in the mid 1950's.

Jean started with experimental and free-jazz groups before establishing his own psychedelic fusion band in the early 1970's. After that he mostly worked as a session musician and recorded many library music LP's.

Not to be confused with the free-jazz saxophonist: Jean Cohen
