American jazz/blues pianist. Brother of George W. Thomas and Sippie Wallace, uncle of Hociel Thomas.

died: June 2, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan
Influenced Albert Ammons who thought Hersal was the first person to bring 'The Fives' to Chicago. Cut some records and piano-rolls, like his brother George.
