Danish folk-rock band, formed 1973 and per 2012 still active. Founded by Torben Harbo with brothers Helge Sørensen, Carsten Sørensen and Jens Falck. Folk singer, violinist Mathilde also was a member in the formative summer of 1973. Harbo and the Sørensen brothers were simultaneously in the Århus based band Folkstow. Drummer Sander Nielsen, blues pianist Bo Thalund and mandolinist Torben Bruun, formerly with Spillemændene joins in 1974. As progressive folkrock becomes more popular, the band becomes a national name, performing in 1975 at Roskilde Festival and Roskilde Festival. The band debuts on record in 1976, with Bo Jacobsen of Blue Sun replacing Sander Nielsen on drums. In 1977 the band sees their "Christianitter, Jydske Knejte" contribution to the Christiania support compilation become a minor hit. Harbo leaves the band and is replaced by Kim Tai Foo. In 1979 drummer Jacobsen is replaced by Per Vincent, who is replaced in 1980 by Jes Ørnsholt. 1980 becomes a milestone in the band, as Foo and Thalund leaves and the band members starts to perform in various duo and trio constellations.
