Dieter Birr

Born 18/03/1944 in Köslin, now Koszalin, Poland. Played as young boy guitar and accordion. Member of many bands in the GDR: Luniks, Jupiters, Evgenie Kantschev.....Since 1969 until today guitar and vocals in Puhdys. Dieter Birr is one of the important musicians of the GDR. Puhdys is a classic GDR rock band. In addition Dieter Birr is acting as composer for other GDR musicians including his son Andy Birr, whose band Rosalily was produced by him.
