    Minos Matsas was a Greek lyricist of the rebetiko style and clarinetist. Born in 1903 in Preveza, Ottoman Empire. Died 25 September 1970 in Athens, Greece.

    He was considered one of the pioneers of the music recording and production in Greece. Before the war he marketed locally Odeon-Odeon, working as A&R. He became CEO of Minos Matsas-Parlophone after the war. He used nine pseudonyms to sign his lyrics.
    Co-founder (alongside his son Μάκης Μάτσας) of Odeon in November 1960.
    A square within the Ioannina castle bears his name.
    Grandfather of Minos Matsas and father-in-law of Ρούλα Μάτσα.
