Γκούλαγκ

Γκούλαγκ (pronounced and meaning: Gulag - name taken from the Soviet forced labour camps) is a Greek band from Thessaloniki, formed in December 1985. Their music is a mixture of punk, hardcore with some metal and melodic elements.

1987: 1st live performance in Athens, at "Vrahikikloma Club", Ilioupoli.
1988: First European tour, performing live in Norway, Germany and Italy.
On 8/2/1988 they played along with 'The Ex' at "Σινέ Αργώ".
On 30/9/1988 they performed live in Thessaloniki, along with 'Chaos UK', 'Εκτός Ελέγχου', 'Ναυτία' & 'Μεταλλακτικοί'.
1990 January/February: Second European tour, performing live in Yugoslavia, Austria, Germany, Holland, Belgium and Italy.
On 22/1/1994 they performed live at 'Παράρτημα' (Patra) along with 'Ναυτία', Death Courier' & '90% Angel'.
On 27/5/1994 they performed live at Πανεπιστήμιο (Thessaloniki), along with 'Μεταλλακτικοί', 'Ναυτία', 'Εκτός Ελέγχου' & '150 DJ'.
On 27/1/1995 they performed live at club Zero (Thessaloniki) along with 'Ziggy Was' & 'Λώλαμα'.
On 13/5/1996 they released the LP/CD "Πάτα Γερά".
On 16/5/1996 they performed live at 'Block' (Thessaloniki).
On 10/12/2000 they performed live at 'Διεθνής Αμνηστία' festival (Υδρόγειος, Thessaloniki) along with 'Διάφανα Κρίνα', 'Ντίνος Σαδίκης', 'Νάνοι', 'DJ Sparky T & Kid Stretch'. 'FF.C' & 'Razastarr'.
On 19/5/2006 they performed liva at Αποθήκη (Thessaloniki) along with 'Buzzcocks' & 'Savage Republic'.
On 30/12/2009 they performed live at Micropolis (Thessaloniki).
On 23/3/2012 they performed live at '80s Gathering' festival at An Club (Athens).
They also played along with 'Disorder', 'Chaos UK', 'Homo Detritus' & 'Fugazi'.
