American blues singer, pianist, and occasionally guitarist, born December 20, 1902 in Ralph, Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, died October 12, 1972 in Fairfield, Alabama.
Roland recorded under his own name 1933-1935, and was a regular pianist behind Lucille Bogan during the same years.
