Argentine Singer, Songwriter, Actress and Businesswoman. Born January 7, 1952 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, based in Uruguay. She is the first daughter of the marriage of María Antonia Spano (Tony) and José Julio Lancelotti. From a very young age she showed her love for singing and dancing; and at the age of 14 while studying at the Donato Álvarez Commercial School in the La Paternal neighborhood, he defined his vocation and began studying singing with Clara Calvo, and dramatic art with Dante Gilardoni. Romay (owner of Channel 9) was the one who discovered her as a great talent and suggested she use an artistic pseudonym. The name "Valeria" came from a character played by the Argentine actress Dora Baret in the soap opera Los Hermanos, which Valeria watched with her mother when she was little, and the last name "Lynch" was chosen at random from the telephone directory. In 1977 he released his first album, called Valeria Lynch, and the cover was a drawing of his profile made by his friend Horacio Fontova. His version of the song "Mujer sola", authored by the Italian Mia Martini (Domenica Berté), was the first broadcast cut. Her debut as a pop ballad singer was on the Michelangelo stage in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of San Telmo. During the eighties, Valeria Lynch's success expanded throughout Latin America. His songs reached the United States, Latin America, Spain, Holland, Japan, Romania, Italy and the Former Soviet Union. 1985 was the year the album Para Cantarle a la vida was launched; The songs "Señor lover", "Querido mio", "Qué mal elegiste", "Eres el hombre", "Yo sin él" and "Como una loba" made this album one of the best sellers in the entire region. Such was the success that in Buenos Aires alone, he attracted almost 100,000 spectators in 53 performances with his concert at the Teatro Astros.
