Swedish violinist and violin maker, living in Insjön, born April 9, 1959 in Stockholm. As a ten-year-old, in the middle of the wave of folk music, Störling moved to Arbrå in Hälsingland and soon began playing folk music with his grandfather Werner Röstberg (1905-1991) from Växsjö in Bollnäs who played accordion. Already at the age of 13, Störling became very interested in older songs and playing styles in southern Hälsingland and began to do research on the subject. Especially important as a role model was Jonas Olsson, "Olles Jonke", from Galven between Alfta and Arbrå, with his ancient way of playing. Other role models are Johan Hall, Edvin Bergqvist, Olle Nordén (d.ä.), Mauritz Callmyr, Hugo Ljungström, Nils Frisk and Johan Nord. Störling received the Hälsinge Hambo scholarship in 1974 and Zorn's gold medal in 2008.
