British rock band, originally formed in Stockport. They released their first single in 1967 and an album the following year, both produced by Joe Boyd. The group reformed in 1998.
Members included Joe Beard (guitar), Geoff Bowyer (organ), Pete Walker (vocals), Ank Langley (jug, banjo), and Gerry Robinson (mandolin).
Not to be confused with the American garage rock band from the 60s The Purple Gang.
