Irish classical crossover group, originally founded as "Three Irish Tenors" in 1995, consisting of James Nelson, Ronan Tynan and Paul Hennessey. Ronan Tynan left the group right after the debut concert, and was replaced by Niall Morris. In 1998, Matthew Gilsenan replaced Paul Hennessey. In June 2007, Niall Morris decided to leave the group, and the Tenors welcomed a new member, Daryl Simpson. In 2000, the band decided to change their name to avoid confusion, due to there being several groups with a similar name, and they ended up with "The Celtic Tenors". Current line-up: Matthew Gilsenan, James Nelson, Daryl Simpson, Colm Rogan (musical director)
