From an 2002 press release: "The Apricots = A band formed by Momoko Yoshino (Aneko), who is active in Tyrolean Tapes, Chapter 4, and Automatics, her sister Biriko, Candy Ice Trucker Maiko, and "Mama" Guitarist Jun (Junko). The band was formed by Aneko, Junko, Biriko, and Maiko after a fateful encounter at a camping trip in the Akikawa Valley in the spring of 2001. In September, they started "Panorama Barbecue," an event organized by the band. The event has been held five times since then. The band performs in the middle of the audience, surrounded by the audience. In April 2002, the band performed two songs on the girl band omnibus "My Sunshine Love" by 1+2 Records.
