The Amboinia Serenaders were actually the Dutch formation The Mena Moeria Minstrels. They used this alternative performing name for their Krontjong repertoire (Moluccan and Indian songs). [a=Ming Luhulima] was their leader from 1957 on, after the original leader [a=Rudi Wairata] had quit the band. In 1958 the band got split up when also their female lead singer stepped out of the band.
