Sidney Barnes

About

Rhythm 'n' blues - soul singer - songwriter originally from Welch, West Virginia in '41, although he now lives in Chicago.

Sidney was in several Junior High and High School bands, along with other school mates, including Marvin Gaye, Van McCoy and Herb Feimster (Peaches & Herb), which gave him a taste of show business, but he was signed by Ray Gordy (Raynoma, Berry's wife at the time) to Jobete Publishing as a writer (along with George Kerr), as she felt he was stronger at that, rather than singing.

Born: February 6, 1941
