    American composer and jazz reed player (alto and tenor sax, clarinet, flute), born November 17, 1927, Charleston, West Virginia, USA, died May 13, 2015, Tarzana, California, USA.

    Drasnin played and recorded with the big bands of Les Brown 1950, Alvino Rey 1953, Tommy Dorsey 1953, Ken Hanna 1953-1954, and Frank Capp 1960, and with Red Norvo's Quintet in 1956-1958.
    He wrote the scores for many television series including The Twilight Zone, The Man From U.N.C.L.E., Mission: Impossible, Lost In Space and others. 2008 inductee of West Virginia Music Hall of Fame.
