Philippe Le Goff (August 15, 1957, Le Raincy, France) is a French sound artist and composer. Piano, then music harmony, analysis and esthetics at the Conservatoire de Lyon (France). Graduate of the acousmatic composition class of [a=Denis Dufour]. Studies in music pedagogy at the Institut des méthodes musicales actives (IMMAL) in Lyon (France) with Jacques Chapuis. Graduate of the Institut national des langues et civilisations orientales in Paris (France) with Michèle Therrien in Inuktitut culture and language. Sound engineer and consultant for numerous documentaries. Composes for concert, radio and documentaries. Since 1988, pursues research on music and language of the Inuit of the Canadian Arctic.
