Puerto Rican arranger, accordion, congas player. Born in 1943 in Ponce, Puerto Rico.

In 1974, he moved to New York City as pianist with Rafael Cortijo y Su Combo. He was the musical director for Cortijo and dean of music for the Museo del Barrio's School for the Arts.

Do NOT confuse with the Mexican orchestra conductor/composer active in the 50s/60s Pepe Castillo.
