Nuova Era

One of the leading Italian prog bands in the late 1980s / early 1990s, Nuova Era modelled themselves on 1970s prog styles, adding modern technolgy and a distinct style of their own, featuring a lot of keyboards and Italian language vocals. Their immature debut [i]L'Ultimo Viaggio[/i] was followed by two critically acclaimed concept albums: [i]Dopo L'Infinito[/i] and [i]Io E Il Tempo[/i] after which the band dropped of the scene for a couple of years before reappearing with a final album in 1995 and splitting up. A few anniversary reformations exist, one coinciding with a retrospective album simply called [i]Nuova Era[/i] in 2010 and then a new comeback album in 2016.
