Guitarist and singer, b. May 29, 1967 Longsight, Manchester, England. Best-known as lead guitarist and songwriter with Manchester group Oasis, he has also collaborated with numerous artists in the dance field, notably Chemical Brothers with whom he recorded the UK number one hit "Setting Sun".
On August 28, 2009, Noel announced that he was leaving Oasis. In July 2011 he held a press conference announcing the new group Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.
