British composer. Born: 10 June 1960 in Corringham, Essex, England, UK. Mark-Anthony Turnage CBE has composed numerous orchestral and chamber works, and three full-length operas. In Autumn 2005, he was appointed the Royal College Of Music's "Research Fellow In Composition", while in 2015 he was appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for his services to music.
