Louiselle

Italian singer, (born in Vallelonga, Vibo Valentia, November 8, 1946 - passed away in Rome, April 27, 2024) spent her childhood in Isola d'Elba, then she moves to Rome, where is discovered by lyricist Carlo Rossi who will later become her husband. She gets signed for RCA Italiana in 1964, the label of her early records. Debuted at Sanremo Festival 1965 with the song Ascoltami, but the RCA withdrawn its artists from the Festival competition. The popularity will come a few months later with Andiamo a Mietere il Grano which will become a huge success, as well as other songs inspired by the popular tradition or to rural characters as Il Pontile, Il Cacciatore, La Scogliera, La Vigna (1966-69). Louiselle released five albums and about 30 singles, until the late '80s.
