American composer, arranger, pianist & author. Born February 27, 1940 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA. Hooper moved to Chicago in 1964, writing jingles and material for jazz groups, recording an album with a big band in 1974. Settled in Los Angeles in 1978, composing music for TV and continued to record as a leader. He composed for films for nearly fifty years. He's receive one Emmy nomination and five Grammy nominations.
