Leroy Brown

Leroy Brown was born in Kingston, Jamaica. After singing in church at an early age, as so many other artists did, he was discovered by the great Alton Ellis. In the 60's Leroy started singing with The Emotions and The Hippy Boys. In 1971 Leroy moved to Canada where he started The Roys. After that Leroy continued to visit extensively his home country. In Jamaica he recorded "Color Barrier" and four or five other songs in 1975, which saw release on his debut lp [r3327245]. These recording sessions were held at Arthur "Duke" Reid's Treasure Isle Recording Studio, Treasure Isle Recording Studio and Treasure Isle Recording Studio.
