Leif Roden

Leif Roden was a Danish bass player, guitarist, singer and producer, born in Copenhagen March 3, 1948. He was the main character in Alrune Rod, which he formed in the late 1960s, inspired by the books of Danish author Albert Dam. An inspiration he shared with Laus Bengtsson, who wrote many of their lyrics. After Alrunde Rod called it quits in 1975, he became a producer for such Danish artists as Bifrost and Malurt. He was married to Jane Lysgaard. Leif Roden died in Copenhagen from cancer May 2, 2010.
