Kornet

Swedish instrumental jazz rock group from Luleå, active during the 1970s, which belonged to the progg movement. Kornet was formed in 1974 at Framnäs folkhögskola in Öjebyn and had several very prominent members, including Stefan Nilsson, Åke Sundqvist and Örjan Fahlström. Parts of the group have also played on albums with, among others, Ted Ström and Ola Magnell and participated in Pugh Rogefeldt's "Nattmara" in the melody festival 1978. After the 70s, Nilsson, Forsman and Sundqvist have been active as studio musicians both on record and stage and worked with many of Sweden's artists. as well as with own productions. Fahlström has worked as a composer, arranger and conductor in a variety of contexts, both in Sweden and the rest of Europe. On November 29, 1975, Kornet participated in Swedish Radio P3's program Tonkraft.
