Italian singer and actress.

Born 31 August 1925 Follonica, Tuscany, Kingdom of Italy.
Died 3 September 2018 (aged 93) Rome, Lazio, Italy.
She was married to conductor Riz Ortolani (1926-2014, his death).

Katyna Ranieri had her first hit in 1954 at the Sanremo festival with the song "Una canzone da due soldi". She was the first Italian singer to have performed live at the Oscar ceremony in 1964. Ranieri has toured in the whole world. As an actress, she worked for Nino Rota and Federico Fellini. She was active in music for over seventy years.
