James Alexander

Bassist, singer and songwriter. Original member of the [b]Bar-Kays[/b] since the mid-1960s. When four band members died in the 1967 airplane crash that also killed [a=Otis Redding], he rebuilt the band in 1968 with other remaining member [a=Ben Cauley]. With an interruption in the 1980s, Alexander has remained active with the Bar-Kays until today. Father of [a=Jazze Pha] (Phalon Alexander). Do NOT confuse with gospel / soul songwriter [a=J. W. Alexander]
