Holger Laumann

Danish multiinstrumentalist, bandleader, composer and educator (1942-2007). Throughout his career he played various reed instruments but mainly saxophone in an extremely variated number of groups and setting, beginning with his 1961-1962 jazzensemble Safari Jazz that included later Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts who at the time lived in the little provinsial town Randers in Denmark. His main groups are the jazzrock group [a=Tears] and the jazzrock bigbands [a=Cox Orange] and [a=Det Beskidte Dusin].
