    Founders of the label Philadelphia International Records (PIR), which was founded in 1971 and distributed by Philadelphia International Records Records, headed at the time by Clive Davis.
    They are credited for developing the Philadelphia Soul music genre (also known as Philly Sound) of the 1970s.
    Together they have written and produced 175 gold and platinum records, earning them an induction into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame in the non-performer category in March 2008.
