Ferdinand Radeck

German military conductor and composer, best known for his march "[b]Fridericus-Rex-Grenadiermarsch[/b]" composed in 1867. Born: 30 December 1828 in Spandau, Berlin, Prussia (Today Germany). Died: 21 September 1903 (74 years old). Ferdinand Radeck was born in 30 December 1828 in Spandau, Berlin, Prussia (now Germany). From 1853 to 1867 he was conductor of the [i]6. Infantry Regiment[/i] located in Posen, Prussia. (Today Poznań, Poland), which later was renamed [i]Grenadier Regiment Nr. 6[/i]. Shortly before or shortly after leaving the regiment he composed his march "[i]Fridericus-Rex-Grenadiermarsch[/i]", which is his only known composition. Ferdinand Radeck died in 21 September 1903 at the age of 74, the place of his death is unknown.
