Electric Century is an American rock band formed by former My Chemical Romance bassist Mikey Way and Sleep Station vocalist and New London Fire guitarist David Debiak. Justin Siegel, formerly of Stars in Stereo and City (Comma) State, quickly joined the band after their formation. Mikey Way, the band's frontman, said in an interview that he had been wanting to start Electric Century since he was in seventh grade when he wrote "Electric Century" on a notebook in science class. He also stated that he had music written and plans for the band as early as 2001.[3]
