Die Kapelle

Danish punk trio from Helsingør (Elsinore). Formed by Michael Tange (guitar and vocals), Niclas Tange (drums) and Martin Sellén (bass) in the town of Elsinore (Helsingør) north of Copenhagen around 1984. All three members being half Swedish the group was in the beginning inspired by the Swedish punk scene, but gradually moving in a more romantic direction under the influence of British bands such as Simple Minds. The group broke up around 1989.
