Detlef Klamann

About

Guitarist from Germany. Born 1950 near Hannover. He played in the mid 1960s with school bands The Severals and The Smoth, then played with beat cover croups Meeks (1967) and Lovely Faces (1968), before he was long term member of [a=Mountain Ash] from 1970 to 1982. Already familiar with the group [a=Jane], he replaced [a=Klaus Hess] in 1982 when the Jane musicians were touring with [a=Jon Symon]'s rock ballet [a=Warlock (11)] and also became member of the Jane-splinter "Lady Jane" in 1983. After touring with another Warlock ballet and also touring with [a=Magic Lane] for a while, he retired from touring in the mid 1980s and operated a music instrument shop. He returned for the stage rock ballet performances of [r17524843] in 1993/94, but he retired again after this third ballet was no success any more. He focussed on running his shop, until he was convinced by [a=Werner Nadolny] to return to the stage and join [a=Werner Nadolny's Jane] in early 2009.
