Best known as the lyricist for the musical Jean Seberg, collaborating with composer Marvin Hamlisch. He began his career in New York City writing and directing off-Broadway productions. He collaborated again later with Hamlisch for Shirley MacLaine's revue Shirley MacLaine on Broadway.
