Caroline Peyton was a songwriter, singer and actress. She was born in Brookhaven, MS on October 8, 1951. She died in Nashville on August 11, 2021 of a neurodegenerative disease. She recorded and performed with The Screaming Gypsy Bandits in the early 1970's, recording her first solo album, Mock Up, in 1972 with fellow Screaming Gypsy Bandits Mark Bingham. Her early albums were reissued later in her life and she returned to recording in 1998 and again in 2014. In 2014, she recorded with Bonnie "Prince" Billy.
