A Mexican bolero duet during 1959–2000, consisting of married couple of singer and actress [a=Carmela Rey] (born 7 December 1931 in Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico; died 13 February 2018 in Mexico City, Mexico, aged 86) and singer and songwriter [a=Rafael Vázquez] (born 26 March 1929 in Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico). Known as [b]"Mexico's Romantic Couple"[/b] they were hugely successful in the 1960s and 1970s, and made together 121 records and won numerous awards.
