    Belgian singer, born May 28, 1926 in Sint-Niklaas, died March 29, 2011 in Beveren. Best known for his song [i]Waar En Wanneer[/i]. Represented Belgium at the Eurovision Songfestival in 1959 and 1961. In 2001 he had a brain hemorrhage, which paralyzed his left arm and both legs. Since 2005 he lived in a retirement home in his birthplace Sint-Niklaas.
