Came of age during the mid-1970's heyday of the "pre-punk explosion" happening in his hometown. Like many Cleveland area musicians, Andrew spent time living in New York city during the 1980's continuing to play and record music, publishing zines, doing spoken word / poetry performances and playing in groups like Red Dark Sweet there and again for a time after relocating back to Ohio. Andrew was also part of infamous performance art group Johnny And The Dicks, as well as playing in the "unreleased" Cleveland band Tender Buttons. He is also the brother of Jamie Klimek, leader of Cleveland, OH band, Mirrors. He continues to perform in various solo and group settings, moving fluidly within the orbits of the free music / improv and punk / rock scenes.
