Gakidou

Japanese goth band formed in 1985 in Matsuyama-city, Ehime-ken. Relocated to Tokyo shortly after. The band originally played Batcave-esque, pure and old-school goth/deathrock in their early days, then during 1986~1988 their musical style shifted into goth, post-punk with more avant-garde approaches, reminiscent of Virgin Prunes, and doomy theatrical live performances. Broke up later in 1988, reformed in 2013.
