Яков Скоморовский

Yakov Skomorovsky (August 19, 1889, Kherson, Russian Empire - July 4, 1955, Leningrad, USSR) - Leningrad jazzman, trumpeter, conductor, teacher. Since 1929 - musical director of Tea Jazz under [a=Леонид Утесов]. In the 1930s-1940s, he headed a concert jazz orchestra, with which he recorded on records and worked on the radio. [a=Исаак Дунаевский] worked with Skomorovsky's orchestra, entrusting him with the recording of music for the films "Volga, Volga", "Circus", "Goalkeeper", "Girl in a Hurry to Date".
