Надежда Плевицкая

Nadezhda (or Nadejda) Plevitskaya (1884-1940) was a Russian singer (mezzo-soprano), performer of Russian folk songs and romances. According to legend, Emperor Nicholas the Second was called "Kursk Nightingale".
